Laura KurszewskiI created The Living Moments Tarot over the course of several years as a creative project intended to inform and inspire my personal tarot journey. I spent many delightful hours photographing, drawing and contemplating the images for this deck. It is truly a a labor of love, raw and unpolished.
The minor arcana (Wands, Cups, Pentacles, Keys (Swords)) are colored pencil sketches. The major arcana are original photographs I took near my home in the Pacific Northwest (except the Emperor and Strength cards which are photos from a family trip to Utah).
The Living Moments Tarot incorporates (very loosely, with great artistic license) meaning from multiple tarot traditions including the Rider Waite Smith, Tarot de Marseilles, and Thoth decks. You will also find a smattering of chakra associations, numerology (as I see it), as well as seasonal associations, the wisdom of the natural world, and a multitude of other entirely whimsical correspondences based on personal experience.
